Press Release⋅February 25, 2014
AUSTIN, TX – February 25, 2014 – Today, CLS Partners announced the expansion of its employee benefits advisory practice with the addition of Retirement Services. CLS Partners can more precisely optimize a company’s employee compensation strategy, manage costs and mitigate risk by acting as a single advisor for both employee health benefits and retirement plans. Clients also benefit from: (1) a more cohesive benefits package for employee talent acquisition and retention; (2) streamlined communication and education among plan participants; (3) easier access to support; and (4) a potential increase in participation rates when retirement plan enrollment and healthcare enrollment events are connected.
A unique business model and forward-thinking culture have enabled CLS Partners to achieve unparalleled growth year over year since its inception in 2008. “Now, as many of our clients enter new growth phases, we enter our own,” said Clint Scott, CLS Partners CEO. “We are excited to bring the same level of expertise and depth of knowledge to company retirement benefits as we have in the areas of health and welfare.”
CLS Partners Retirement Services will advise 401(k), 403(b), Non-Qualified and Cash-Balance plans, addressing the fiduciary liability many companies face when managing employee retirement plans, providing education and resources for improving the retirement readiness of employees and practicing a transparent service model that aligns compensation structure with client interests.
CLS Partners Retirement Services is led by Aaron Pottichen, CRPC®, CRPS®. Prior to joining CLS Partners, Aaron spent time at Raymond James and Merrill Lynch, developing a knowledge base around 401(k) plans which he continues to expand to this day. Aaron's depth of experience in working with businesses of all industries and sizes gives him a unique perspective in helping companies implement a plan that makes an impact on their bottom line. "With pension plans becoming less prevalent to American workers, the 401(k) has become the main vehicle to save for retirement. Business owners are becoming aware that employee retirement plans can no longer be an afterthought. Our goal is to help plan sponsors understand their fiduciary liability, enhance their employees' retirement readiness and increase the appeal of the plan to their employees," said Aaron Pottichen, Principal of CLS Partners Retirement Services.
